Network dynamics of HIV risk and prevention in a population-based cohort of young Black men who have sex with men
Critical to the development of improved HIV elimination efforts is a greater understanding of how social networks and their dynamics are related to HIV risk and prevention. In this paper, we examine network stability of confidant and sexual networks among young black men who have sex with men (YBMSM). We use data from uConnect (2013–2016), a population-based, longitudinal cohort study. We use an innovative approach to measure both sexual and conf…

Isotopic Discriminants Between Late Bronze Age Glasses From Egypt and the Near East
This paper presents oxygen, strontium and neodymium isotopic analysis from a series of Late Bronze Age glasses from Egypt and Mesopotamia. It was found that oxygen and neodymium isotopes alone cannot readily distinguish between glasses from the various sites. However, combined Sr and Nd isotope analysis separate the data into three groups: an Egyptian group with relatively low Sr and Nd ratios; a Late Bronze Age (LBA) Nuzi group with high Sr and …
Tracing the Resources of Iron Working at Ancient Sagalassos (South‐west Turkey)
Lead and strontium isotope analyses were performed by thermal ionization mass spectrometry (TIMS) on Roman to Byzantine iron artefacts and iron ores from the territory of ancient Sagalassos (south‐west Turkey), to evaluate Pb and Sr isotopes for provenance determination of ores for local iron production. It can be demonstrated that for early Roman artefacts and hematite iron ore processed in early Roman times from Sagalassos proper, as well as fo…
Evidence for glass ‘recycling’ using Pb and Sr isotopic ratios and Sr-mixing lines

had a significant impact on the creation, development, and direction of research in dental anthropology in the U.S. and internationally. We have selected a small, but international group of dental anthropologists whose research methods and interests reflect, and have been impacted by Dahlberg's influence. The unifying theme of this symposium, dental morphology and evolution, is broadly conceived to include papers on dental genetics, development, …

Infrastructures are material forms that allow for the possibility of exchange over space. They are the physical networks through which goods, ideas, waste, power, people, and finance are trafficked. In this article I trace the range of anthropological ...Read More
Social Problems Theory
This paper reviews and critiques the origin and development of a new specialty in sociology, the sociology of social problems. While social problems long has been a topic of sociological attention, it is only since the work of Blumer and, most especially, Spector & Kitsuse in the early 1970s, that a theoretically integrated and empirically viable tradition of writing and research has developed. The central proposition of this tradition is that so…
