Humanistic Psychology as Ideology
This essay stresses the importance of viewing psychological theories in terms of the socioeconomic environment in which they exist. Specifically, we examine the relationship between the humanistic psychology of Abraham Maslow and the economic practices of American society. Family Mediation Patterns and Television Viewing
A sample of kindergarten and first-grade children was studied in a research center and at school to determine the extent to which family communication mediated their comprehension of television, as well as a series of cognitive skills necessary for such comprehension.
