    Open Access•Meiling Wu, Q F Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Rural Studies•2024•Cited by: 9•References: 27

We propose that post-productivism offers a useful analytical framework for understanding the multi-scalar and diverse changes that are taking place in China's rural revitalization. As a theoretical framework that emerged from the study of rural changes in the Global North, the applicability of post-productivism in the Global South has been contested. This paper offers the first comprehensive analysis of the emergence of post-productivism in rural…

  • Why do farmers' cooperatives fail in a market economy? Rediscovering Chayanov with the Chinese experience

    Zhanping Hu, Q F Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•The Journal of Peasant Studies•2022•Cited by: 10•References: 13

Based on extensive fieldwork in China, we identify six major obstacl…

    Open Access•John A Donaldson, John Donaldson•ARTICLE•Synthese•2021•References: 45

  • The Business Politicians: Reflections from a Study of Political Corruption

Donatella Della Porta, Alessandro Pizzorno et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Law and Society•1996•Cited by: 11•References: 2

Political corruption has not disappeared with modernization, as some scholars believed would happen. On the contrary, corruption in Western democracies is often described as 'systemic', 'institutionalized' or 'diffuse'. At the same time, the political class is said to have undergone considerable change: catch-all parties and 'media power' have changed the structure of political careers and created new types of professional politician. Little thou…
