The present study is an investigation into the social psychological factors associated with women's reported participation in a range of different types of political action in the context of gender relations. Women's Responses to Status Inequality: A Test of Social Identity Theory
This study examined women's responses to status inequality using the theoretical framework of Social Identity Theory (SIT). Accordingly, it was predicted that three mutually exclusive clusters of responses would be distinguished: individual mobility, social creativity, and social competition.
