  • Sitar-d

Open Access•Tim J Cole, Satpal Sandhu et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2026

SITAR-d is useful for extracting early adult weight gain from growth data, potentially an important risk factor for obesity-related morbidity. Height also fits better with SITAR-d, reflecting a minority of individuals with delayed development

  • Site and sex specific bone mineral content, and density trajectories from adolescence through to 15 years post peak bone mass

Open Access•Yuwen Zheng, Adam Dominic George Baxter‐jone et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2025•Cited by: 1

Comparing the change to the precision of the instrument it was found that males and females showed real change in BMC at the TB, LS and TH but no real change at the FN from PBM to 15 years post PBM. In aBMD a real increase was found in TB and decrease in FN. Future studies should explore the roles of other factors, such as changes in lifestyle, related to bone mineral change after PBM attainment on bone trajectories

  • Social inequalities in child mental health trajectories

Open Access•Tim Cadman, Demetris Avraam et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Social inequalities in internalising and externalising problems were evident across a range of EU countries, with inequalities emerging early and generally persisting throughout childhood

  • Socioeconomic position during pregnancy and pre-school exposome in children from eight European birth cohort studies

Open Access•Costanza Pizzi, Giovenale Moirano et al.•ARTICLE•Social Science & Medicine•2024

Distribution of environmental hazards and vulnerability to their effects vary across socioeconomic groups. Our objective was to analyse the relationship between child socioeconomic position (SEP) at birth and the external exposome at pre-school age (0-4 years). This study included more than 60,000 children from eight cohorts in eleven European cities (Oslo, Copenhagen, Bristol, Bradford, Rotterdam, Nancy, Poitiers, Gipuzkoa, Sabadell, Valencia an…

  • Age at puberty and accelerometer-measured physical activity

Open Access•Ahmed Elhakeem, Ahmed Ehakeem et al.•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2020

We found a positive association between puberty timing and PA in females which weakened at older ages and limited evidence of an association at any age in males

  • Intergenerational social mobility and leisure-time physical activity in adulthood

Ahmed Elhakeem, Roger Hardy et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Epidemiology and…•2017

  • Predictive models for reablement social care packages in Essex England

Open Access•Berthold Lausen, Stephen Simpkin et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2013

The International Journal of Integrated Care (IJIC) is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original articles in the field of integrated care on a continuous basis.IJIC has an Impact Factor of 5.120 (2020 JCR, received in June 2021)The IJIC 20th Anniversary Issue was published in 2021
