Complex Two in the Early Bronze II Upper Town of Küllüoba near Eskişehir
The theories of the ‘Great Caravan Route’ between Cilicia and Troy
At the beginning of the second settlement a change that we can define as a ‘breaking point’ takes place in Trojan indigenous cultural development. Behind this change must lie, to a great extent, the intensification of Troy's cultural and economic relations with the interior of Anatolia and beyond (north Syria and Mesopotamia). Küllüoba
The mound of Kulluoba lies within the boundaries of the administrative district of Seyitgazi in the Province of Eskisehir. Settlement phases with in the mound represent a time period which extends at least from the late Chalcolithic Period to the very end of the Early Bronze Age (the end of the EB III, ca. 1800 BC). Excavations at the site, begun in 1996 under the direction of Turan Efe of the Department of Protohistory and Near Eastern Archaeolo…
Early Bronze Age III Pottery from Bahçehisar
The late Early Bronze III pottery from Bahçehisar (Kandilli) presented here was collected during a surface survey of the region. This group not only supplies a missing link in the pottery sequence of the Eskişehir Plain, but also can be correlated with pottery from central Anatolia dating to the Transitional period. The relationship between the Bahçehisar material and the earlier EBA material from the plain is discussed, and a relative chronology…
