Étude biologique des sujets mésolithiques de l'Abri du Squelette (Les Eyzies, Dordogne, France)
L’Abri du Squelette, découvert en 1938 sur les rives de la Vézère (Dordogne, France) a livré les restes squelettiques d’au moins 3 individus qui n’ont été que récemment reconnus comme mésolithiques. La collection ostéologique est composée de vestiges recueillis lors de deux opérations archéologiques (2012, 2018) et de ceux conservés au Musée national de Préhistoire. Les socits mayas des hautes terres ont connu un dclin culturel marqu la fin du Prcla ssique (vers 100-250 apr. J. C.) au moment o, pour la plupart, les cits mayas des basses terres prenaient leur essor au dbut du Classique (250-300 apr. J. C.). Environ 600 ans plus tard , celles du Petn (Guatemala) taient presque toutes abandonnes, tandis que celles des basses terres du nord (Mex ique) connaissaient leur apoge jusqu'au dbut du Postclassique. Radiocarbon Reservoir Ages in the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea
We measured apparent marine radiocarbon ages for the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, and Red Sea by accelerator mass spectrometry radiocarbon analyses of 26 modern, pre-bomb mollusk shells collected living between AD 1837 and 1950. The marine reservoir (R(t)) ages were estimated at some 390 ± 85 yr BP, 415 ± 90 yr BP and 440 ± 40 yr BP, respectively. R(t) ages in the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea are comparable to those for the North Atlantic Oce…
