  • Time to degree: Factors related to years in earning a doctorate

    The National Research Council (1993) reports that time to degree has increased over the last 30 years. Total time to degree increased 20% from 8.8 to 10.6 median years while the registered time to degree changed from 5.3 to 7.1 years, an increase of 34%.
