Open Access•Venus Gines, Joanna Rodriguez et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Community Health Workers (CHWs) play a crucial role in the public health workforce, particularly within underserved communities where they enhance access to healthcare, address social determinants of health, and advocate for health-related policy changes. • The Effect of Medicaid Expansion on Caregiver’s Quality of Life

M Torres, Benjamin D Capistrant et al.•ARTICLE•Social Work in Public Health•2020

Medicaid expansion has been shown to improve access to care, health, and finances in general populations. Family caregivers provide substantial cost savings to Medicare and Medicaid. Yet, they sustain financial, physical, and mental health strain from their caregiving role wh…

  • Apoptosis Inducing Effect Of Andrographolide On TF-47 Human Breast Cancer Cell Line

Open Access•Marli da Silva Garcia, S Harjotaruno et al.•ARTICLE•African Journal of Traditional…•2008

Andrographolide isolated from Andrographis paniculata Ness (Acanthaceae) at 0.35 mM, 0.70 mM and 1.40 mM induced DNA fragmentation and increased the percentage of apoptotic cells when TD-47 human breast cancer cell line was treated for 24, 48 and 72 h. The results demonstrated that andrographolide can induce apoptosis in TD-47 human breast cancer cell line in a time and concentration-dependent manner by increase expression of p53, bax, caspase-3 …

The effects of the outcome of competitive encounters on physiological parameters have been studied, especially testosterone levels, but hardly on other systems that, however, present a high sensitivity to stress. This study assessed the effect of a competitive game on heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) in a sample of university students. In addition, the influence of anxiety and attributions of the outcome was also explored. Only winners sig…
