Does the recycling and utilization of reclaimed water policy effectively address regional water scarcity? Evidence from a pilot city in China
How centralizing environmental enforcement affects water quality: A quasi-experiment in China
Impact of political incentives on urban green development: An analysis of 284 cities in China
Spatio-temporal patterns and spillover effects of synergy on carbon dioxide emission and pollution reductions in the Yangtze River Delta region in China
Diversity in financing and implementation pathways for industrial symbiosis across the globe

Single-use plastic packaging in the Canadian food industry: Consumer behavior and perceptions
Single-use plastic food packaging is a major contributor to the global solid waste problem. Although the food industry is developing strategies to reduce single-use plastic packaging, it needs to better understand consumer awareness and attitudes about the issue. As consumer awareness about single-use plastic waste outpaces private sector practices, this study considered personal motivation factors, government policies, and innovative solutions r…
Plastic Bags Prohibition Bill: A developing story of crass legalism aiming to reduce plastic marine pollution in Nigeria
Policies to reduce single-use plastic marine pollution in West Africa
Scholar and practitioner views on science in environmental assessment
This study investigated the views of environmental assessment (EA) scholars and practitioners on science in EA. Fifty-six online survey responses were received, including 35 scholars and 21 practitioners. To supplement the survey data, we interviewed 13 Canadian EA practitioners. The study indicates that EA scholars were more dissatisfied with the quality of science in EA than the practitioners and their perceptions were found to be related to th…

International policies to reduce plastic marine pollution from single-use plastics (plastic bags and microbeads): A review
Approaching Freshet beneath Landfast Ice in Kugmallit Bay on the Canadian Arctic Shelf: Evidence from Sensor and Ground Truth Data
The Mackenzie River is the largest river in the North American Arctic. Its huge freshwater and sediment load impacts the Canadian Beaufort Shelf, transporting large quantities of sediment and associated organic carbon into the Arctic Ocean. The majority of this sediment transport occurs during the freshet peak flow season (May to June). Mackenzie River-Arctic Ocean coupling has been widely studied during open water seasons, but has rarely been in…
Perceived and Measured Levels of Environmental Pollution: Interdisciplinary Research in the Subarctic Lowlands of Northeast European Russia
Using interdisciplinary field research in the Usa Basin, northeast European Russia, we compared local inhabitants' perception of environmental problems with chemical and remote-sensing signatures of environmental pollution and their local impacts. Extensive coal mining since the 1930s around Inta and Vorkuta has left a legacy of pollution, detected by measuring snowpack, topsoil, and lichen chemistry, together with remote-sensing techniques and a…
