A Linguistic Study of the Written Compositions of Ten-Year Old Children
The article reviews some of the recent literature of the linguistic approach to children's compositions. The results of two research studies are then described and discussed. These form part of a larger project involving a longitudinal follow-up of 50 representative cases. The present work investigates the grammatical structures and subordination index characteristic of 10 year olds
