    Jesse Shirley's Bone and Flint Mill at Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent is the most complete surviving example of a typical nineteenth century steam powered potter's millers works. Built in 1856 it worked continuously until 1972 when production was transferred to modern plant elsewhere on the site. Since October 1978 a group of volunteers have been working to restore the old mill to working order so that it can be opened to the public under the auspices o…
