  • Geomorphology of the Évettes alpine glacial landsystem

Open Access•Myriam Thériault, Patrick Lajeunesse et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Maps•2025

The end of the Little Ice Age (LIA) in the nineteenth century triggered glacial retreat across the Northern Hemisphere, leaving behind sediment-landform assemblages that preserve records of glacier behavior. Advances in high-resolution topographic data enable detailed analysis of these morphosedimentary records and their connection to glacial dynamics. This paper presents a geomorphological map of the Évettes Glacier forefield in the Western Alps…

  • Submarine geomorphology of the northeastern Baffin Island fiords and cross-shelf troughs

    Open Access•Étienne Brouard, Patrick Lajeunesse•ARTICLE•Journal of Maps•2019

This paper presents a series of 50 geomorphological maps of the seabed of northeastern Baffin Island fiords and cross-shelf troughs, in eastern Arctic Canada. The mapping was produced using swath bathymetry imagery from multiple bathymetry datasets. A total of 24 types of landform were systematically mapped (>55,000 landforms) and reflect processes linked to subglacial, ice-marginal or paraglacial to postglacial environments. The landforms record…

  • Sediment records of the influence of river damming on the dynamics of the Nelson and Churchill Rivers, western Hudson Bay, Canada, during the last centuries

    Open Access•Quentin Duboc, Guillaume St‐onge et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2016•References: 1

Two gravity cores (778 and 780) sampled at the Nelson River mouth and one (776) at the Churchill River mouth in western Hudson Bay, Canada, were analyzed in order to identify the impact of dam construction on hydrology and sedimentary regime of both rivers. Another core (772) was sampled offshore and used as a reference core without a direct river influence. Core chronology was established using 14 C and 210 Pb measurements. Cores 778 and 780 sho…

  • Holocene land-use evolution and associated soil erosion in the French Prealps inferred from Lake Paladru sediments and archaeological evidences

Open Access•Anaëlle Simonneau, Élise Doyen et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science•2012•Cited by: 17•References: 8
