“Don't ask me to be joyful!” – a qualitative study of the weight-neutral principle ‘joyful movement’
The core principle Joyful Movement in Weight-Neutral Health (WNH) aims to enhance access to and engagement with physical activity (PA), however the application remains underexplored. To investigate experiences and enactments of Joyful Movement among individuals of size with WNH experience and health professionals with knowledge about WNH. Qualitative Systematic Literature Review
This systematic review investigates how participatory visual methods (PVMs) (1) are applied in community health interventions (CHIs) with adult migrant populations and (2) identify potentials for participation. The search was performed in PubMed in 2021 and 2023. Eighteen articles fulfilled inclusion criteria as they investigated a CHI targeting migrants and used a visual method. We outline three innovation phases and highlight ho…
Household collectives
In this article, we situate the practices of health and physical activity in household collectives, and conceptualise everyday health 'behaviour' and lifestyle as complex, collective practices. Based on an ethnographic study on everyday family life and health practices, we provide a framework for understanding the household as a collective, where the household collective may take precedence over individual preferences, and individual behaviour ha…
Engaging or transmitting? Health at the science centre
Science centres have a strong commitment to education, but theimplications of that commitment change over time. The discovery pedagogy ofthe first science centres is gradually being replaced with a more dialogic approachthat acknowledges that science has different meanings for different people. Here,we follow the transition of a Danish science centre towards this new approach; atransition driven by the development of a dialogic exhibition on heal…
