  • Cultural Practices and Socio-Digital Inequalities in Europe: Towards a Unified Research Framework in Cultural Participation Studies

Open Access•Predrag Cvetičanin, Lucas Page Pereira et al.•ARTICLE•Cultural Sociology•2025•References: 45

In this article, we propose a unified research framework for studying the impact of social and digital inequalities on four types of cultural practices: offline art-related practices, offline everyday cultural practices, online art-related practices, and online everyday cultural practices. In contrast to the research traditions that study them separately, we argue that the subject of further research should be the interplay between cultural pract…

  • Religiosity and Social Capital in Mediterranean and Continental Croatia

    Open Access•Inga Tomić‐koludrović, Mirko Petrić et al.•ARTICLE•Sociologija i Prostor•2022

This article attempts to assess differences in social capital of religious and nonreligious respondents in Mediterranean and Continental Croatia, based on the results of a 2018 nationally representative survey. The approach to analysis is based primarily on Bourdieu's concept of social capital, but in addition to "structural" (networks of relationships and reliance), it also includes "cultural" (different forms of trust) indicators. The results o…

  • Bourdieu’s theorization of social capital in the analysis of South-East European societies

    Open Access•Mirko Petrić, Inga Tomić‐koludrović et al.•ARTICLE•Filozofija i drustvo•2021•References: 11

This article discusses the significance of social capital in Bourdieu-inspired analyses of contemporary South-East European societies. We first recapitulate Bourdieu?s theorization of social capital, emphasizing that it allows different operationalizations expressly because of its rather abstract theoretical character. Following that, we explain what is meant by ?South- East European societies? and that their inequality-generating mechanisms are …

  • From occupational to existential class: How to analyze class structure in hybrid societies (The case of Serbia)

    Open Access•Predrag Cvetičanin, Inga Tomić‐koludrović et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Sociology•2021•Cited by: 7•References: 31

In this article, we propose a model to analyze the class structure of hybrid post-socialist societies in South-East Europe (SEE), using the case of Serbia. We argue that, in such hybrid societies, social inequalities are generated by several mechanisms of similar strength: exploitative market mechanisms (based on economic capital) and different types of social closure mechanisms (based on political and social capital). Their influences are intert…

  • Relacijske rodne strategije u podjeli kućanskih poslova

Primi…

    Open Access•Inga Tomić‐koludrović, Inga Tomić-Koludrović et al.•ARTICLE•Revija za sociologiju•2015

This article attempts to outline what its authors see as a potentially productive methodological approach for studying the connection between the notion of class in socialist Yugoslavia and class-related developments in its successor countries. The first part of the text consists of an extended elaboration of the ideological and social theoretical conceptions of class during the socialist period in Yugoslavia (1945Yugoslavia ( -1990)). This elabo…

Javna percepcija važnosti uloge medija u drustvenom životu, naime, neprestano raste, kao i pritisak zainteresirane studentske populacije na visokoskolske ustanove i studijske grupe koje nude poduku o razlicitim sadržajima povezanim s medijima.
