  • New late middle Eocene anthropoids from Dur At-Talah, Libya: Implications for early primate dispersal into Afro-Arabia

    Open Access•Jean-Jacques Jaeger, J C De Jaeger et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Evolution•2026

  • A new parapithecine (Primates): (Anthropoidea) from the early Oligocene of Libya supports parallel evolution of large body size among parapithecids

    Open Access•Spencer G Mattingly, Spencer Mattingly et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Evolution•2021•Cited by: 1•References: 40

  • A new species of Apidium (Anthropoidea, Parapithecidae) from the Sirt Basin, central Libya: First record of Oligocene primates from Libya

Open Access•K Christopher Beard, Pauline M C Coster et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Evolution•2016

  • Upper molar morphology of the early oligocene egyptian anthropoid Qatrania wingi

    Open Access•K Christopher Beard, Pauline M C Coster et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•2016•Cited by: 2•References: 31

OBJECTIVES: Qatrania wingi is a poorly documented fossil anthropoid known only from Quarry E in the Jebel Qatrani Formation, Fayum Depression, Egypt. This report augments our knowledge of the dental morphology of Qatrania in order to clarify its phylogenetic relationships with other early African anthropoids. MATERIALS AND METHODS: YPM 18008 from Quarry E is the first example of an upper molar fragment that can reasonably be assigned to Qatrania …

  • Uniquely derived upper molar morphology of Eocene Amphipithecidae (Primates): (Anthropoidea): Homology and phylogeny

Pauline Coster, K Christopher Beard et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Evolution•2013•Cited by: 6•References: 35
