Human values
In this work we study values in 13 countries of the EU highlighting the case of Portugal. We use the indicators of “human values” (S. H. Schwartz), “country”, “age”, “education”, and “socio-professional category” from the European Social Survey. Non-responses to the questions on human values exist and are more probable among those individuals in a situation of social exclusion. Estimation of Potato Yield Using Satellite Data at a Municipal Level
Crop growth modeling and yield forecasting are essential to improve food security policies worldwide. To estimate potato (Solanum tubersum L.) yield over Mexico at a municipal level, we used meteorological data provided by the ERA5 (ECMWF Re-Analysis) dataset developed by the Copernicus Climate Change Service, satellite imagery from the TERRA platform, and field information. While the scientific rationale for climate change mitigation has never been stronger, the Australian public is still hesitant about personally contributing to its costs. This public reticence is often explained as resulting from cost-benefit calculations and a human propensity to prioritize present over future goods.
