  • Multivariable utility of the test of memory malingering and miller forensic assessment of symptoms test in distinguishing clinical and simulated dissociative identity disorder symptoms

    John-Christopher A Finley, John‐Christopher A Finley et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Trauma Theory…•2026

Findings suggest that using the well-established TOMM-1 cutoff of ≤41 and M-FAST cutoff of ≥6 together versus independently can help detect feigned DID symptoms. Chaining multiple validity tests may therefore be a useful way to improve the detection of feigned symptoms in DID evaluations. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2026 APA, all rights reserved)

    Open Access•Darrin M Aase, Stephanie M Gorka et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Trauma Theory…•2022

AU and prior combat exposure may influence visual WM performances in post-9/11 veterans, which is relevant to novel PTSD treatment paradigms. This sample was limited to mostly male and White or Black participants, and future studies should focus on sampling more heterogeneous groups of veterans with regard to sex and ethnicity. Improvements in specification/multimodal WM assessment are important for future research, as these may directly impact d…

Lisa B Spanierman, Jason R Soble et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Student Affairs…•2013•Cited by: 2

The authors examined the association between living learning communities (LLCs) and undergraduates' sense of community and belonging to their university and residence halls. LLC students scored higher on sense of belonging in residence, but not on campus, than did students in non-LLCs. Analysis of open- ended responses suggested that LLC students found meaning in their LLCs with regard to obtaining social and academic support, engaging in multicu…

  • Documenting Weblog expressions of racial microaggressions that target American Indians

D Anthony Clark, Lisa B Spanierman et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Diversity in Higher…•2011•Cited by: 25•References: 9

The authors obtained and analyzed data from 10 weblogs (989 pages of raw data), in which online forum contributors expressed varying views on the discontinuation of a university’s racialized mascot (i.e., Chief Illiniwek). First, the authors used a modified consensual qualitative research approach (C. E. Hill, Thompson, & Williams, 1997) to identify common themes among the data. Next, they used the Sue, Capodilupo, et al. (2007) racial microaggre…
