  • A hidden village: Communicative functions of a Facebook support group for single mothers

    This study employs qualitative thematic analysis to examine the functions of posts within a naturally occurring, hidden private Facebook group for single mothers living in the same geographic area. Findings reveal themes of group cohesion, emotional expression, as well as sharing and requesting informational, tangible, and emotional support.   • Italian American Ethnic Identity Persistence: A Qualitative Study

    This study explores the persistence of ethnic identity among second- and fourth-generation Italian American emerging adults. In particular, the relational and college influences affecting its development were examined.
