  • Sleep spindles across youth affected by schizophrenia or anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate-receptor encephalitis

Open Access•Maria E Dimitriades, Andjela Markovic et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

Patients with COS demonstrated more pronounced impairments of sleep spindles compared to patients with EOS and NMDARE. In this sample, there is no strong evidence that changes in NMDAR activity are related to spindle deficits

  • Preventive strategies for mental health

    Open Access•Celso Arango, Covadonga M Díaz‐Caneja et al.•ARTICLE•The Lancet Psychiatry•2018

  • Dynamic mapping of human cortical development during childhood through early adulthood

Open Access•Nitin Gogtay, Jay N Giedd et al.•ARTICLE•Proceedings of the National…•2004

We report the dynamic anatomical sequence of human cortical gray matter development between the age of 4–21 years using quantitative four-dimensional maps and time-lapse sequences. Thirteen healthy children for whom anatomic brain MRI scans were obtained every 2 years, for 8–10 years, were studied. By using models of the cortical surface and sulcal landmarks and a statistical model for gray matter density, human cortical development could be visu…

  • Brain development during childhood and adolescence

    Open Access•Jay N Giedd, Jonathan Blumenthal et al.•ARTICLE•Nature Neuroscience•1999

  • Paraphilias

    Open Access•Markus J P Kruesi, Stuart Fine et al.•ARTICLE•Archives of Sexual Behavior•1992•Cited by: 4•References: 13

  • Unexpected reading failure

    Jean S Symmes, Judith L Rapoport•ARTICLE•American Journal of Orthopsychiatry•1972•References: 13

Eliminating children with any condition in medical history or present status that might indicate a predisposition to learning problems, the remaining population of 54 contained only one girl and was characterized by superiority in certain visual skills. A genetic linkage between spatial visualization and difficulty in acquiring reading skills is postulated
