    Foster's limited-good model has been both widely accepted and roundly criticized. Upon superficial examination, certain behavior patterns among the Mopan Maya of southern Belize seem to reflect the presence of a limited-good cognition.     A variety of factors in the background experience of 259 male Navajo Indian migrants to Denver, Colorado are explored in relation to their starting wages in the city. Major determinants are years of education beyond ten, highest wage earned prior to migration, whether the migrant had received skilled vocational training, whether he was married, and whether his father had spent a majority of his time as a wage-laborer.     SOME OF THE FACTORS WHICH INFLUENCE THE COMMUTER'S CHOICE OF MODE ARE EXPLORED BY PROVIDING QUANTITATIVE ESTIMATES OF THE DEGREE OF TRANSIT IMPROVEMENT WHICH WILL BE NECESSARY TO ATTRACT COMMUTERS. THERE IS DEVELOPED AND ESTIMATED A BEHAVIORALLY-ORIENTED MODEL OR MODAL CHOICE.
