LGBTQ+ Loss and Grief in a Cis-Heteronormative Pandemic: A Qualitative Evidence Synthesis of the Covid-19 Literature
LGBTQ+ people are no stranger to loss and grief, particularly during times of pandemic such as the 1980s-90s HIV/AIDS pandemic and now, the COVID-19 pandemic. Current COVID-19 loss and grief research remains relatively silent on LGBTQ+ peoples' loss and grief experiences. Total Antioxidant Capacity and Frailty in Older Men
Frailty, a clinical syndrome characterized by multisystem dysregulation, has been associated with high levels of oxidative stress. We investigated the association between serum total antioxidant capacity (TAC) and frailty in older men. This cross-sectional study included 581 men (age 60–90 years) enrolled in the Geelong Osteoporosis Study. Frailty comprised at least three of unintentional weight loss, exhaustion, low physical activity, slowness, …

Development and validation of a theory of planned behavior-based weight control behavior questionnaire among postmenopausal women with osteoporosis
Our aim was to develop a framework-based weight control behavior questionnaire (Weight-CuRB) and test its psychometric properties among a non-probability sample of 240 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. Appropriate validity, simplicity, functionality and reliability were observed for the Weight-CuRB. The explanatory model fits the data well (χ2 [139] = 245.835, p .001, CFI = 0.950, NFI = 0.901, IFI = 0.950, RMSEA = 0.057[(0.045-0.068]). To o…
Health literacy in a population-based sample of Australian women: A cross-sectional profile of the Geelong Osteoporosis Study
The profile of this population-based cohort of women demonstrated associations between low health literacy and low SES, lower levels of education, increasing age, and anthropometric and lifestyle risk factors for chronic disease. These findings suggest implications of health literacy for health policy makers focusing on improving lifestyle prevention of chronic disease and promoting health equity at a population level

Sibling incest within violent families: Children under 12 seeking nurture
This article will draw on theories of childhood and current sociological debates of shame to explore and understand the formation of sexual identity in children who experience a violent family. Contextualising this type of dependency within the usual processes of childhood sexual development, including exploration and experim…
