  • Reflection AI

Open Access•Mark S Graham, Mark Graham et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Communication•2025

As university instructors integrate AI tools, such as large language models (LLMs) into their pedagogy, they must grapple with the ethical and practical implications ofthese technologies. This reflection examines the overlooked labour of Cloudworkers and data workers whose contributions make AI systems functional. Drawing on insights obtained from Fairwork’s Cloudwork and AI research, it argues for the adoption of the Fairwork scoring system, as …

  • Knowledge barriers in a national symptomatic-Covid-19 testing programme

Open Access•Mark S Graham, Anna May et al.•ARTICLE•PLOS Global Public Health•2022

Symptomatic testing programmes are crucial to the COVID-19 pandemic response. We sought to examine United Kingdom (UK) testing rates amongst individuals with test-qualifying symptoms, and factors associated with not testing. We analysed a cohort of untested symptomatic app users (N = 1,237), nested in the Zoe COVID Symptom Study (Zoe, N = 4,394,948); and symptomatic respondents who wanted, but did not have a test (N = 1,956), drawn from a Univers…

  • Illness Characteristics of Covid-19 in Children Infected with the Sars-CoV-2 Delta Variant

Open Access•Erika Molteni, Carole H Sudre et al.•ARTICLE•Children•2022

COVID-19 in UK school-aged children due to SARS-CoV-2 Delta strain B.1.617.2 resembles illness due to the Alpha variant B.1.1.7., with short duration and similar symptom burden

  • Risk of Covid-19 among front-line health-care workers and the general community

    Open Access•Long H Nguyen, David A Drew et al.•ARTICLE•The Lancet Public Health•2020

BACKGROUND: Data for front-line health-care workers and risk of COVID-19 are limited. We sought to assess risk of COVID-19 among front-line health-care workers compared with the general community and the effect of personal protective equipment (PPE) on risk. METHODS: We did a prospective, observational cohort study in the UK and the USA of the general community, including front-line health-care workers, using self-reported data from the COVID Sym…

  • Aspects of Reproduction and Larval Biology of Arctic Cod ( Boreogadus saida )

Open Access•Mark S Graham, Mark Graham et al.•ARTICLE•ARCTIC•1995

Arctic cod (Boreogadus saida) were captured from Resolute Bay, Northwest Territories, shipped to Vancouver and reared in holding tanks for up to three years. Spawning and development of larvae were monitored in two separate years. Fish that were in the laboratory for less than one year spawned during the normal spawning period for wild fish, January to February. The timing of spawning was altered by water temperature and light regime. Elevated wa…
