  • Acute electroencephalography responses during incremental exercise in those with mental illness

Open Access•C V Robertson, Caroline Robertson et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

Alpha activity responses were no different between groups at rest or any exercise intensity. Therefore the alpha activity response previously shown post-exercise was not found during exercise. However, increased PFC gamma activity in the MI group adds to the body of evidence showing increased gamma can differentiate between those with and without MI

The use of central nervous system depressant drugs among 244 people hospitalized for injuries suffered in an automobile accident was similar for drivers presumed at fault for the accident compared with other drivers and passengers. It was only slightly higher in the three groups than it was in the population at large. The absence of an important association in this population might be related to the warnings given to people filling prescriptions …

The design and construction of the most recently completed unlined tunnel is used to illustrate the practice adopted by the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority, Australia. The economic advantage of an unlined tunnel over a hydraulic equivalent concrete-lined tunnel is dependent on the quantity of concrete lining required. The use of pneumatically applied mortar and grouted rock bolts reduces the amount of concrete lining. A summary is given …
