  • Restoring unanimity

    J Chen, Ming Yang•ARTICLE•Quarterly Journal of Political…•2026

The unanimity rule is considered inferior at aggregating information in committee decision-making to the simple majority rule (Feddersen and Pesendorfer, 1998), which exhibits less institutional bias toward one outcome over another. In this paper, we argue that institutional bias can, paradoxically, lead to better decision-making when it causes committee members to adapt their attention in a way that counteracts the potential errors caused by the…

  • Specificity of functional network connectivity during the AD prodromal phase in mild cognitive impairment

Open Access•Weiqing Li, Ze Feng et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2026

aMCI contrasts naMCI with widespread intra- and inter-static FNC differences, mainly involving the DMN, DAN, SMN, and SN. these network interactions provide a powerful method for assessing and predicting why aMCI is more likely to progress to AD, and contribute to our understanding of the neurological mechanisms underlying the pathological process of AD

  • MRI identification of anatomical distribution of periosteal entrapment and its clinical outcomes in pediatric distal tibial Salter-Harris type II fractures

Open Access•Hengheng Zhang, Xiaoming Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Sports and Active…•2026

Distal tibial S-H type II physeal fractures are at high risk of concomitant periosteal entrapment, which is localized predominantly to the anterolateral corner of the distal tibial physis. Conservative management, CR-PF, and ORIF resulted in comparable functional outcomes without significantly increasing the risk of growth disturbances, indicating that residual entrapped periosteum may not adversely affect fracture healing or long-term prognosis

Open Access•Suping Wang, Fei Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2025

Cross-modal retrieval is crucial for achieving accurate and efficient information retrieval by establishing semantic correlations between heterogeneous images and text. However, traditional image-text training sets suffer from information asymmetry, which includes short lengths and limited sentence structures. This phenomenon often results in insufficient representations of essential visual information. We introduce RichDataset, which offers exte…

The one-child policy of China, which was initiated in 1980 and was reversed in 2015, has been conceived of as a decision made independently and arbitrarily or a product of impulsive decision making. Therefore, it has received a great deal of criticism from Western democracies. Of course, China faced internal problems related to population, such as the Great Famine of 1958-1961. This might be deemed the direct cause of the one-child policy. Howeve…
