Open Access•Weijun Guo, Jibing Zou et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Spatial-seasonal variations in dissolved heavy metals in surface seawater were analyzed based on surveys at 87 sampling sites and water samples from six rivers across Liaodong Bay. The concentrations of copper (Cu), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and zinc (Zn) had ranges of 0.20-40.00 (5.45 ± 5.67), 0.51-33.64 (4.68 ± 3.93), 0.03-13.47 (2.22 ± 2.01), and 0.50-80.09 μg/L (14.22 ± 16.32), respectively, throughout the four seasons of 2020. Open Access•Weijun Guo, Sihong Liu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Trace metal pollution in coastal seas has been of great concern because of its persistence, toxicity, and biological accumulation through the food chain. The role of sea ice in trace metal transport and distribution in Liaodong Bay is still unknown. Sea ice and water samples were collected in Liaodong Bay in February 2021 to assess the distributions of Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn, Cr and Hg during the frozen season. Total dissolved ( 0.45 μm) heavy metal conc…

During adolescence, a positive outlook toward the future (i.e., future orientation) can protect youth from the risks conferred by childhood adversity. Research to date, however, has largely considered future orientation as a static attribute. Developmental systems perspectives suggest that future orientation, when considered across time, will exhibit dynamic trajectories with levels changing in response to the varying balance of risks and resourc…
