  • Xiegan Liangxue Jiedu Decoction ameliorates psychiatric comorbidities in psoriasis via regulation of sphingolipid metabolism

    Open Access•Li Ping, Shao-jun Yan et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2027

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Xiegan-Liangxue-Jiedu decoction (XLJD) is an ethnopharmacological empirical prescription inherited from Gu's Surgery, a national intangible cultural heritage of Chinese ethnomedicine. Developed based on the classic TCM theory of Liver governing emotion, XLJD has been clinically used for centuries to treat psoriasis (PsO) via the principle of the TCM principle of "treating PsO from the Liver perspective", and has sh…

Open Access•Jiahua Li, Xiaoge Xiao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Sports and Active…•2026

Introduction Aristotle's observational hypothesis suggests that runners may run faster if they swing their arms, yet direct evidence that arm swings enhance propulsion during running is lacking. This paper aims to develop a non-VO2-based computational pipeline to estimate propulsive and vertical impulses from pressure/force and kinematic data, and to examine whether arm-swing modification training can improve running performance. Methods One worl…

  • Association between body roundness index and strength fitness in senior middle school students

Open Access•Long Chen, Yiqun Yu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Background Adolescent obesity poses a major challenge to declining strength fitness. Body Roundness Index (BRI) provides superior quantification of central adiposity over traditional metrics. However, evidence regarding the BRI-strength fitness correlation remains underexplored in youth populations. Therefore, this study aims to explore the association between BRI levels and muscular fitness in senior middle school students. Methods A cross-sectio…

  • Knowledge Graph-Based Reinforcement Federated Learning for Chinese Question and Answering

Open Access•Liang Xu, Tao Chen et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2024

Knowledge question and answering (Q&A) is widely used. However, most existing semantic parsing methods in Q&A usually use cascading, which can incur error accumulation. In addition, using only one institution’s Q&A data definitely will limit the Q&A performance, while data privacy prevents sharing between institutions. This article proposes a knowledge graph-based reinforcement federated learning (KGRFL)-based Q&A approach to address these challe…

    Open Access•Long Chen•ARTICLE•Philosophies•2022

Despite his unreserved appreciation of Turing’s analysis for being a “precise and unquestionably adequate definition” of formal system or mechanical computability, Gödel nevertheless published a short note in 1972 claiming to have found a “philosophical error” in Turing’s argument with regard to the finite nature of mental states and memory. A natural question arises: how could Gödel enjoy the generality conferred on his results by Turing’s work,…
