During 1968 and 1969 the author undertook a reinvestigation of the stone bowl cultures, including a restudy of available collections, and a survey of all known sites. Test excavations at the Prospect Farm site and at Keringet Cave provided a series of carbon samples which verified a first millenium B.C. date for stone bowl assemblages of the Njoro Cave type.
