Narratives of Post-Truth: Lyotard and the Epistemic Fragmentation of Society
In recent years, the post-truth phenomenon has dominated public and political discourse. This article offers a functional analysis of its mechanisms based on the category of narrative. A Trickster’s Tale: Autofictional Humour in Günter Grass’s Beim Häuten der Zwiebel
This article analyses autofictional constellations and their role as sources of humour in Günter Grass’s Beim Häuten der Zwiebel (‘Peeling the Onion’). Keenly aware of the unreliability of memory and the transient nature of self, Grass is suspicious of any autobiography’s claim to accurately represent past experiences. This article seeks to demonstrate how the myth of Troy is still relevant to modern-day European culture and identity, drawing on Gregor Feindt et al.'s concept of "entangled memory" as a theoretical foundation.
