  • The politics of environmental peacebuilding

Open Access•Jacobo Grajales, Meryam El Bouhati et al.•ARTICLE•World Development•2027

This article examines how environmental conflict narratives emerge and are used in peacebuilding policies. It advocates for a multi-level perspective that systematically connects global intervention agendas to political struggles in domestic policy arenas. Through a comparative analysis of four case studies—Liberia, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Lebanon—it investigates how environmental considerations are framed as security issues and incorporated…

  • “The Dead Mother”

Cécile Prudent, Benjamin Lévy•ARTICLE•The Psychoanalytic Review•2025

In order to study the relation between hallucination and persecutory delusion, this article takes André Green's dead mother complex as its theoretical framework. The authors argue that the attention to the negative hallucination of the dead mother, preceding the emergence of delusion, allows for a better grasp of the distribution of primary identifications in the clinic of paranoia. They examine the entanglement of maternal and paternal identific…

  • From paranoia querulans to vexatious litigants

    Open Access•Benjamin Lévy•ARTICLE•History of Psychiatry•2015

The second part of this paper examines the history of querulous paranoia and vexatious litigation in the English-speaking countries from the nineteenth century to today. This study suggests that the lack of thorough research on querulous paranoia in these countries is due to a broad cultural, legal and medical context which has caused unreasonable complainants to be considered a purely legal, rather than a medical issue. To support this hypothesi…

  • Disparity in Naloxone Administration by Emergency Medical Service Providers and the Burden of Drug Overdose in US Rural Communities

Mark Faul, Michael W Dailey et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Public Health•2015•Cited by: 3•References: 33

Objectives. We determined the factors that affect naloxone (Narcan) administration in drug overdoses, including the certification level of emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods. In 2012, 42 states contributed all or a portion of their ambulatory data to the National Emergency Medical Services Information System. We used a logistic regression model to measure the association between naloxone administration and emergency medical services ce…

  • From paranoia querulans to vexatious litigants

    Open Access•Benjamin Lévy•ARTICLE•History of Psychiatry•2014

The first part of this two-part paper presents a comparative history of paranoia querulans, also known as litigants’ delusion, in German-speaking countries and France from the nineteenth century onwards. We first focus on two classic literary works which describe litigious behaviours that were later pathologized, then give an insight into the history of Querulantenwahn (litigants’ delusion), a term coined in 1857 by Johann Ludwig Casper and adopt…
