This study investigates the relationship between birth month and socioeconomic status (SES) of parents using a sample of 23,600 children born in Minnesota from 1935 to 1939. The analysis reveals a statistically significant but slight tendency for children born in the winter months (November to February) to come from families of higher SES, while children born in the summer months (May to August) tend to come from families of lower SES.
