    Open Access•Keith Webb, Thomas M Leeder•ARTICLE•Sport Education and Society•2021•Cited by: 2•References: 12

Whilst coach education has been the subject of much critique, it is often the first opportunity for novice coaches to be formally taught how to coach. Nevertheless, novice coaches arrive at coach education courses with an array of pre-existing dispositions and coaching theories, referring to naturalised and self-referenced approaches towards coaching practice, which can be resistant to change. A J R Groom, Keith Webb•ARTICLE•International Interactions•1987•Cited by: 4•References: 9

In the second section an underlying assumption of the doctrine is challenged, that because conflicts are asymmetrical empowerment becomes proper practice. The argument is that all conflicts are both asymmetrical and symmetrical. In the third part, it is demonstr…

Changes in the nature of Scottish nationalist ideology over a 30-year period are studied by means of a content analysis of 90 documents from the Scottish Nationalist Party. Frequency, position, and connectivity of themes within the ideology were measured. It appears that the party is becoming less radical and less culturally and economically oriented. The ideology is described as more complex, oppositional, and incestuous than formerly. The retre…

    Open Access•Thorbjörn Broddason, Keith Webb•ARTICLE•Acta Sociologica•1975•Cited by: 11

This view is shown to be incorrect by using longitudinal data relating to access to elite professions as well as recent survey material. Explanations for the peristence of the myth are sought in the kinship network, social mobility, language, status ambiguity, affluence, and the changing occupational structure of contemporary Ice…
