    Open Access•Catherine Price, Cassie Price•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2025•References: 5

While higher education institutions prioritise inclusion for moral, ethical, legal, and performance-related reasons, current approaches to equality, diversity, and inclusion often still prove in practice to be exclusive and ineffective. This article studies how inclusive education can benefit from, and be employed through, the intersectionality lens. Using the Intersectionality-Based Policy Analysis method, as applied to the educational sector fo…

  • The old, the new, or the old made new? Everyday counter-narratives of the so-called fourth agricultural revolution

Open Access•David Christian Rose, Anna Barkemeyer et al.•ARTICLE•Agriculture and Human Values•2022•Cited by: 4•References: 20

Prevalent narratives of agricultural innovation predict that we are once again on the cusp of a global agricultural revolution. Often used as a rhetorical device, this narrative has a material effect on the traj…

    Open Access•R J Schulting, Rick Schulting et al.•ARTICLE•The Antiquaries Journal•2013•Cited by: 8•References: 30

This paper presents an overview of the results of two brief excavation seasons (2008 and 2010) at Foxhole Cave, Gower, south Wales, placing them into the wider context of mid-Holocene Britain. No prehistoric pottery was found and the few pieces of worked flint recovered are diagnostic of the Mesolithic period. Typically for the Carboniferous limestone caves of Gower, bone was well preserved, however, and though much of the material in the heavily…

  • Volcanic ash layers illuminate the resilience of Neanderthals and early modern humans to natural hazards

Open Access•J J Lowe, John Lowe et al.•ARTICLE•Proceedings of the National…•2012

Marked changes in human dispersal and development during the Middle to Upper Paleolithic transition have been attributed to massive volcanic eruption and/or severe climatic deterioration. We test this concept using records of volcanic ash layers of the Campanian Ignimbrite eruption dated to ca. 40,000 y ago (40 ka B.P.). The distribution of the Campanian Ignimbrite has been enhanced by the discovery of cryptotephra deposits (volcanic ash layers t…
