A survey and excavations were undertaken in 1996 at Edin's Hall fort, broch and settlement — a monument in the care of Historic Scotland — in response to evidence of rabbit damage to the earthworks. Turns and Lanes in the Ancient Stadium
The problem discussed is the nature of the turn in the ancient Greek foot races. New evidence from Nemea proves that the turn in the long distance races (dolichos and hippios) was around a single post, and forces a re-examination of the evidence for the turn in the middle distance races.
