    A sample of Bogotá entrepreneurs suggests that their social origins and backgrounds differ markedly from those of the general Colombian population. The entrepreneur is well-educated, urban, and comes from a predominantly middle class background, in a society that is mainly rural, has a low educational level, and an overwhelmingly large lower class.     An ex post facto experiment comparing two similar groups differentially affected by the impact of the Colombian Violencia suggests that the Violencia has contributed to a greater degree of personality disorganization for those more directly affected. Since it has also created more awareness of a common destiny with the country, once Colombia has passed through this crisis, a greater group solidarity and integration may occur within the country
