    The Lithuanians in America form one of the least known immigrant groups. The census of 1930 gives 193,606 foreign-born Lithuanians and 245,589 of foreign or mixed parentage. Lithuanians claim that 750,000 is a minimum estimate. Until 1910 Lithuanians were not counted in the census, and many are still listed as Poles, Russians, or Germans.
