  • Navigating the trilemma of sustainable aviation fuel development in China

Open Access•Yuchao Xu, Yahua Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Transport Policy•2026

This study investigates sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) development in China through interviews with 31 stakeholders, including fuel producers, aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and supply chain companies. The research identifies four recurring challenges: overreliance on used cooking oil and the hydroprocessed esters and fatty acids (HEFA) pathway, uncertain demand, lack of standardisation, and unclear policy support. Drawing on these interviews…

  • Standardizing the User Experience in Urban Geoportals

Open Access•Ruitong Liu, Hang Yu•ARTICLE•Journal of Urban Planning and…•2026

Urban geoportals are gaining ground globally. In this regard, integrating the ideals of user experience (UX) or UX with the urban geoportals would possibly usher in an era of better experiences and provisioning of services. We studied the fundamental theories of user experience, geoportals, and map visualization and proposed a way for their integration. The integrated model for urban experience is proposed as the integrated module for enhancing u…

  • Seeing Sarcasm Through Different Eyes

Open Access•Junjie Chen, Xuyang Liu et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2026

With the advent of large vision-language models (LVLMs) demonstrating increasingly human-like abilities, a pivotal question emerges: do different LVLMs interpret multimodal sarcasm differently, and can a single model grasp sarcasm from multiple perspectives like humans? To explore this, we introduce an analytical framework using systematically designed prompts on existing multimodal sarcasm datasets. Evaluating 12 state-of-the-art LVLMs over 2409…

  • Esketamine ameliorates depression-like behavior in mice via modulation of the NRG1–ErbB4 pathway

Open Access•Hang Yu, Yuqiong Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2026

Background Esketamine has a significant and rapid antidepressant effect. Although studies have shown that Neuregulin 1 (NRG1) and it’s signaling pathway are associated with depression, the possible regulatory relationship of esketamine on the NRG1-ErbB4 pathway is not yet clear. Methods To induce depressive-like behavior in mice, a Chronic Social Defeat Stress (CSDS) model was established. Behavioral indicators were then employed to assess depres…

  • A Robust Graph Fraud Detection Model Based on Adversarial Reweighting

Open Access•Z Q Liu, Zhengyang Liu et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2025

Graph-based fraud detection has gained significant attention due to its effectiveness in risk management. Recent approaches utilizing graph neural networks highlight the benefits of representing nodes through aggregating homogeneous neighbors. However, in real-world situations, fraudsters disguise their activities by forming connections with benign entities, leading to limitations in the homogeneous aggregation method. Because combining represent…

  • Effects of Diaspore Traits and Vegetation Structures on Wind Dispersal of Solanum rostratum Using Wind Tunnel Simulations

Open Access•Yan Jiang, Quanlai Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2025

The effects of diaspore traits and vegetation structure (VS) on the wind‐dispersal processes of an invasive alien tumbleweed Solanum rostratum are not well understood. In this study, we used a wind tunnel to determine the wind velocity required for stem breakage of the plant. VSs of bare ground, desert steppe, typical steppe, and meadow steppe were simulated to determine the threshold wind velocity (TWV) of the plant (diaspore) and to measure dia…

Hang Yu, Mohd Yazid Mohd Yunos et al.•ARTICLE•Landscape Research•2025•References: 63

This study critically examines how community-led edible landscapes intersect with processes of memory-making and spatial regeneration in post-industrial Shenyang, China. Rather than presuming their inherent social or ecological benefit, the research investigates how these informal practices negotiate the tensions between urban redevelopment, memory politics, and governance ambiguity. Drawing on a qualitative case study approach—including particip…
