  • Revisiting the legacy

    Open Access•Helen Clarke•ARTICLE•Women s History Review•2025

Although, in the UK, self-described ‘gender-critical feminism’ experienced a surge in popularity from 2016 onwards, after the prime minister announced plans for a consultation on making it easier for trans people to legally change their sex designation, trans-exclusionary discourses have long existed in British feminism. • Toward Pedagogies of Decoloniality

    Open Access•Helen Clarke•ARTICLE•International Studies Perspectives•2024•Cited by: 2•References: 29

Undergraduate teaching in international relations (IR) primarily focuses on state-centric topics of sovereignty, anarchy, and power politics, its dominant theories governed by Western interests. Helen Clarke, Charly Ryan•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2006•References: 8

Extracts from the written conversation between research student and supervisor show the nature of educative research supervision. The authors argue that researcher–supervisor relationships are methodological in nature as they shape and influence the people, the project and the field. Such relationships, which construct meanings, are complex. A conversational approach, spoken or written, with its freedom, spaces and power dynamics, provides possib…
