  • After Highly Radiogenic Lead

    Open Access•Zhe Luo, A M Pollard et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2026

The incorporation of lead into copper‐based alloys constitutes a significant technological innovation in early dynastic China. The circulation of distinct lead types provides crucial insights into the nature of inter‐regional communication networks during this period. Through lead isotopic analysis, we propose a major type of lead utilized during the Shang–Zhou transition periods, which has been recovered both from Yinxu in ingot form and from a …

  • Cinnabar use in Anyang of bronze age China

Open Access•Jhih-Huei Liu, Yuling He et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2022

  • Application of a novel hybrid algorithm of Bayesian network in the study of hyperlipidemia related factors

Open Access•Xuchun Wang, Jinhua Pan et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2021

The BN of hyperlipidemia constructed by the Inter.iamb-Tabu hybrid algorithm is more reasonable, and allows for the overall linking effect between factors and diseases, revealing the direct and indirect factors associated with hyperlipidemia and correlation between related variables, which can provide a new approach to the study of chronic diseases and their associated factors

  • The Guandimiao Bone Assemblage (and What it Says about the Shang Economy)

    Yanfeng Hou, R Campbell et al.•ARTICLE•Asian perspectives•2018

The Anyang period village of Guandimiao—the only nearly completely excavated village in China of its time—is crucially important for understanding nonurban, nonelites in North China at the end of the second millennium b.c.e. Guandimiao was a small village that specialized in ceramic production, which indicates a hitherto unsuspected degree of economic specialization and integration in the Shang countryside. One line of evidence supporting an argu…

  • Consumption, exchange and production at the Great Settlement Shang

    Open Access•R Campbell, Roderick B Campbell et al.•ARTICLE•Antiquity•2011•Cited by: 17•References: 12

Excavations at the Shang capital of Anyang have uncovered a massive bone-working industry. The animal bones, mainly those of cattle, pig and deer were provided as a spin-off from regular large-scale sacrifice, and made mainly into pins, awls and arrowheads. Although some of the pins were destined for the tombs of prominent women, a penetrating analysis shows that production greatly overran local consumption and the authors are able to raise the l…
