  • A Glacial–Interglacial Malacofauna Record from the Titel Loess Plateau, Serbia, between ~350 and 250 ka

Open Access•Milica G Radaković, Bojan Gavrilovic et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary•2024

We present data on molluscan fauna within the L3 loess unit (and partially within the S3 paleosol) from the key loess section of Veliki Surduk in Serbia. The section correlates to Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 8 and late MIS 9 and, thus, spans the time frame from ~350 to 250 ka. The Veliki Surduk loess–paleosol sequence (LPS) is located on the northwestern margin of the Titel loess plateau and comprises ~30 m of sediments. Our focus is on a 5.4 m th…

  • Tree-ring oxygen isotope chronology of teak log coffins in northwestern Thailand and its relationship with Pacific Decadal Oscillation and El Niño-Southern Oscillation

Open Access•Sineenart Preechamart, Nathsuda Pumijumnong et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2022

  • Inter-annual and intra-annual tree-ring oxygen isotope signals in response to monsoon rainfall in northwestern Thailand

    Open Access•Sineenart Preechamart, Nathsuda Pumijumnong et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2022•References: 8

    We present a new teak ( Tectona grandis L.f.) tree-ring stable oxygen isotope (δ 18 O TR ) chronology from Mae Tuen (MT) site, Tak province, northwestern Thailand at inter-annual (167-year, A.D.1850–2016) and intra-annual (A.D.2006–2016) timescales. The inter-annual δ 18 O TR chronology showed a significant negative correlation ( r = −0.678, p < 0.01) with the May–October amount of regional rainfall obtained from CRU TS4.03. We established a line…

  • The potential of teak log coffins collected from Namjang Cave in Northwestern Thailand for studying the coffin culture and paleoclimate in Southeast Asia

    Open Access•Supaporn Buajan, Nathsuda Pumijumnong et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeological and Anthropological…•2020•Cited by: 1•References: 50

  • Climate of the late Pleistocene and early Holocene in coastal South China inferred from submerged wood samples

Open Access•Keyan Fang, Binggui Cai et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2017

  • Mid-late Holocene climate variations in southeast China inferred by the intermountain peat records from Fujian, China

Open Access•Guoliang Lei, Yun Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2017

  • Intra-seasonal variability of teak tree-ring cellulose δ 18 O from northwestern Thailand

    Open Access•Chotika Maungsong, Chotika Muangsong et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2016•Cited by: 1•References: 3

Thailand has been regarded as a transition zone between the Indian and western North Pacific monsoons which produce most of the precipitation in this area and sustain large-scale agricultural activities. Their different moisture sources and associated transport trajectories could result in distinguishable seasonal variations in rainfall oxygen isotopes (δ 18 O). Knowledge about seasonal variability in Thailand monsoon could facilitate agricultura…

  • An annually laminated stalagmite record of the changes in Thailand monsoon rainfall over the past 387 years and its relationship to IOD and Enso

Open Access•Chotika Maungsong, Binggui Cai et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2014

  • Effects of intraseasonal variation of summer monsoon rainfall on stable isotope and growth rate of a stalagmite from northwestern Thailand

    Open Access•Binggui Cai•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2012
