Adventurism or Convenience? Explaining China's Policy Toward Taliban-Ruled Afghanistan
Alterations of the gut microbiota in patients with schizophrenia
These findings suggested that gut microbial changes in patients with schizophrenia were characterized by the depletion of anti-inflammatory butyrate-producing genera, and the enrichment of certain opportunistic bacteria genera and probiotics. This study contributes to further understanding the role of gut microbiota in schizophrenia, and developing microbiota-based diagnosis and therapy for schizophrenia
Dan-shen Yin promotes bile acid metabolism and excretion to prevent atherosclerosis via activating FXR/BSEP signaling pathway
Development and initial validation of the contemporary Chinese Familism Scale
This study contributes to our understanding of the multifaceted nature of familism in contemporary China by developing a culturally sensitive scale on Chinese familism. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)
Synergy of traditions and technologies: Improving access to Chinese musical heritage through massive open online courses (Moocs)
The main objective of this article is to investigate the effectiveness of utilizing a supplementary learning model through Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for the reform of traditional Chinese music education in higher education institutions in China. The study involved 314 fourth-year students from three higher education institutions, with an average age of 22.22 years (SD = 0.45). Two self-report scales were employed as instruments. The res…
Grazing exclusion altered the pattern of the soil seed bank but not the aboveground vegetation along an altitudinal gradient in alpine grassland
Grazing exclusion by fencing is the principal option to restore degraded grassland, but its effects on recovery and succession of vegetation are not clear, especially in high mountain areas. In this study, we aimed to fill this gap by assessing the effect of seven‐year grazing exclusion on vegetation and soil seed bank along an altitudinal gradient in northern Tibet, China. Species richness, Shannon‐Wiener index and Simpson's diversity index of v…
Application of multivariate statistical analysis and network pharmacology to explore the mechanism of Danggui Liuhuang Tang in treating perimenopausal syndrome
Transcriptomics Analysis Reveals Shared Pathways in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells and Brain Tissues of Patients With Schizophrenia
Background: Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder with complicated biological mechanisms. Few studies explore the transcriptional features that are shared in brain tissue and peripheral blood. In the present study, we aimed to explore the biological pathways with similar expression patterns in both peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and brain tissues. Methods: The present study used transcriptomics technology to detect mRNA expressio…
Network pharmacology combined with metabolomics to study the mechanism of Shenyan Kangfu Tablets in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy
Why is the Silk Road Economic Belt not a New Strategy? A Three‐Factor Analysis in the Context of Central Asia
The current scholarly discussion concerning the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) seeks to connect the investment activities on the ground with its strategic objectives, and attributes their mismatch to subnational factors or third‐party interventions. Few scholars question the fundamental conceptualization of the BRI as a new grand strategy. First, this paper argues that China has not dictated the Central Asian development agenda, nor has it demons…
