  • The corporeality of sound

    Open Access•R Cover, Rosslyn Prosser et al.•ARTICLE•Media International Australia•2022•Cited by: 1•References: 18

This work is based on the lives of a father and his daughter. The father is represented through work and development of large-scale dam building projects in Queensland, Australia. The dam building and the associated changes to landscape and environment are echoed in the distancing that develops between father and daughter. The father is known through his reputation in the workplace, a reputation written down in workplace gazettes and formal docum…

Under the conditions of narrative construction, young queer men’s coming out stories present memorial accounts of ‘always-having-been’ queer; a queer childhood. The ways in which coming out stories operate have developed significantly over the past decade, particularly resulting from the use of online, digital technologies where such narratives proliferate. This article presents some initial theorisation of the role of young men’s coming out narr…

  • Dear Marg

    Rosslyn Prosser•ARTICLE•Australian Feminist Studies•2012•Cited by: 1

This creative-critical work takes the form of a letter using informal address to discuss issues of subject formation, particularly in relation to a ‘hidden’ history of lesbians and feminists in Australia, questions of place and memory. The work discusses the possible forms that autobiography might take when attempting to write radically as well as live radically
