Open Access•Soo Hwan Park, Christopher Cheng et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

Psychiatrists who are younger and located in the Northeast receive more positive reviews; there may be potential for demographic bias among patient reviewers. • Beacons of modern learning

    Open Access•Christopher Cheng•ARTICLE•Asian and Pacific migration journal•2020•Cited by: 1•References: 26

In the early 20th century, modern school curricula and new-style schools mushroomed in the Chinese remittance landscape of southern China. Since overseas migration and modern education both provide a fruitful context for the circulation of new objects and a cross-fertilization of ideas, n…

Many qiaoxiang in southern Fujian and Guangdong appear derelict, but documenting the material heritage and interviewing people about its social significance reveals another image. • Building homeland heritage

Hiu Ling Chan, Christopher Cheng•ARTICLE•International Journal of Heritage…•2016•Cited by: 4•References: 37

Community involvement is arguably a key component behind sustainable heritage management. Under strict government control, however, local community-led initiatives are difficult to find in China. Nonetheless, through remittances and philanthropic contributions to their respective communities, the Chinese diaspora have long been seen as an important source of foreign capital and a driving force behind homeland development. A transregional study (m…

  • The revised Causal Dimension Scale

Open Access•David Watkins, D Neil Watkins et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Educational…•1995

The Causal Dimension Scale II (CDS II) is a conceptually important instrument for attribution research as it taps directly the subjects' own views of the dimensions underlying their causal ascriptions. However, this research based on the responses of 167 Hong Kong tertiary students to the CDS II indicates that the internal consistency reliability of the External Control scale is of doubtful adequacy and that the best fitting model combines the Lo…
