    Within the overall complex of Catholic devotions in the central Andes, cults of the patronal shrines of haciendas display a determinate variability according to the nature of the formation of different estates and their relationships with local centres of administrative and ecclesiastical control.     En los meses que van de junio a octubre, miles de campesinos de la sierra del sur del Perú emprenden los caminos que les llevan en peregrinación a uno u otro santuario. "La religiosidad tradicional es una religiosidad itinerante" escribe Marzal (1971: 225). Los principales centros de peregrinación son bien conocidos: Señor de Qoyllur Rit'ti; el santuario del Señor de Huanca, La Virgen de Copacabana, etc
