Attitudes toward abortion and conscientious objection among medical students in Mexico
We conducted a survey on attitudes toward abortion and conscientious objection (CO) among Mexican medical students from Mexico City, where abortion was decriminalized in 2007, and Xalapa, a city where it was decriminalized in 2021. Growing population aging is accompanied by a growing fear of suffering dementia. Four hundred and thirty‐six Mexican and Colombian adults completed a survey about their opinion on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) for patients with dementia, both in the early stage of the disease and in the advanced stage through an advance directive. This study explores how medical students feel about caring for terminally ill patients as well as how their medical courses prepare them for addressing end-of-life (EOL) issues with patients. Four hundred and five Mexican medical students were surveyed through the Student Views on Death questionnaire.
