From “Revue du Monde Noir” to “Présence Africaine”
第一次と第二次の両大戦間期のフランスでは黒人をめぐる動きが激しかった。フランス人一般の黒人に対する視線には蔑み,恐れなどから感謝,同情といったものへの変化があった。他方,アフリカ,及び黒人についての学知は「行政官による民族学」から専門的訓練を受けた民族学者による民族学への変化もあった。1920年代のパリでは黒人による黒人向けの新聞・評論誌が次々に発行された。また,アメリカ合衆国で始まっていた黒人による新しい文学運動を担っていた作家たちの多くがパリに来,パリ在住の黒人知識人たちとの交流を深めてもいた。こういった動きを集約する形で1931年に発行されたのが,マルティニック出身の女性ポーレット・ナルダルによる『黒人世界評論』である。同誌周辺には当時の黒人知識人多くが集まり,アンティーユ,アフリカ,アメリカといった出身地域の違いを乗り越えた「新しい黒人意識」の醸成が見られたのである

The hypothesis tested was that the effects of alien reinforcement (AR), the non-Skinnerian and non-directive mode of intervention, are mediated primarily by the “two-person interactions.” Subjects were children (learners) and adolescents (teachers).
