    This paper investigates the determinants of child marriage using a new data set from rural India. Our model estimates the relative importance of economic factors and social norms in determining the prevalence of child marriage.     This paper considers three aspects of the job insecurity facing British men in the last two decades. The probability of bejming unemployed, the costs of unemployment in terms of real wage losses and the probability that the continuously employed will experience substantial real wage losses.
