  • Targeted communication and race: Explicating perceived message relevance

    Jakob D Jensen, Sherrie Loewen et al.•ARTICLE•Psychology & Health•2024

Objectives: Targeting is a communication strategy in which a message is designed to address a particular group. It has been postulated that targeting increases message relevance; however, researchers are still explicating relevance and its impact on downline cognitive processes (e.g. message quality, cognitive cost). The current study addresses both gaps by evaluating the impact of targeted materials for White and African American audiences. Desi…

She evaluates the operation of a distinct rationality, arguing that action is guided not simply by beliefs and values, but also by a combination of elements so intrinsic as to constitute an “organizational DNA.” These hidden structures and…

  • Religious Nongovernmental Organizations: An Exploratory Analysis

    Open Access•Julia Berger•ARTICLE•Voluntas Revista Internacional de…•2003•Cited by: 69•References: 3

This paper represents the first systematic attempt at an analysis of religious nongovernmental organizations (RNGOs). Largely ignored as an organizational field, RNGOs constitute a new breed of religious actors shaping global policy-—an organizational hybrid of religious beliefs and social activism at local, national, and international levels. This paper proposes a definition of RNGOs, traces the emergence of RNGOs from an historical perspective,…
