Psychometric Synthesis of the Religious and Spiritual Struggles (RSS) Scale
Longitudinal Measurement Invariance of CCAPS-34 Scores with a Large University Sample
Objective Counseling Center Assessment of Psychological Symptoms (CCAPS-34) scores were studied for longitudinal bias-free construct evidence
Measurement Invariance and Structure Validity of Scores on the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression - Revised (Cesd-R) Scale with a Large University Sample
Psychometric characteristics of CESD-R scores were explored on a sample of 966 undergraduate students. Internal consistency (α = .92), external convergent and discriminant validity, and response bias were adequate to excellent. Strong measurement invariance was evident for gender and race comparisons, and the unidimensional model fit the data best
Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development author and article characteristics from 1998 to 2017
Articles accepted for publication in the Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development (JMCD) from 1998 to 2017 were reviewed to provide a systematic, quantitative study of journal content by identifying patterns of what is published and who publishes in the JMCD. Trends over time in author characteristics (e.g., number, gender, employment setting, nation of domicile) and article content (e.g., type, topic, design, participant type, sample …
Psychometric Analysis of CCAPS-34 Scores With a Large University Sample
Analysis of CCAPS-34 scores on a large (n = 4,852) university counseling center student sample supported internal consistency (α = .803-.896), one-month test-retest reliability (rtt = .706–.829), convergent and divergent validity, and good model fit. Measurement invariance of scores for all categories of race and student status was supported
Psychometric Analysis, Internal Structure, and Measurement Invariance of the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (Audit) Scores From a Large University Sample
This study explored internal consistency (α = .834), test-retest (rtt = .911), convergent validity, and internal structural validity of the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) on a large university student sample. The 2-factor model fit the data best and measurement invariance was demonstrated for Latinx, but not undergraduate/graduate levels
A Developmental Framework for Enhancing Resiliency in Adult Survivors of Childhood Abuse
The Relationship Among Wellness, Psychological Distress, and Social Desirability of Entering Master's-Level Counselor Trainees
Two-hundred and four entering master's-level counseling students from 9 programs in 5 states participated in a study testing the only counseling-based wellness assessment measure, the Five Factor Wellness Evaluation of Lifestyle (J. E. Myers, R. M. Luecht, & T. J. Sweeney, 2004), for its relationship to 2 other constructs: psychological distress and social desirability. There was a statistically significant negative relationship between level of …
