    Through the dreams of a transcultural Chamorro I call Neno dreamed during the COVID-19 pandemic, this article finds three kinds of imagery in narratively complex dreams. Neno’s dreams suggest that imagery that depicts sensory orientations in space, such as up/down or in/out, represent a dream’s universal concerns and is the kind of imagery described by Lakoff and Johnson as providing the “metaphors we live by.” I call this “sensory imagery.” Cogn…
